Love thy mother.

You've heard of Sigmund Freud, right? The bearded, 19th/20th century neurologist who defined psychology as we know it today.

One of the concepts Freud developed was the Oedipus Complex, named after Oedipus from Greek mythology. This complex explains certain neuroses in childhood, specifically the young boy's desire for his mother's exclusive love; a desire running so deep that, subconsciously, the boy will wish his father dead so that he doesn't have to share his mother.

In short, Freud basically says that a young boy has the subconscious desire to bed his mother, which is, in whatever way you look at it, rather disturbing.

Then it hit me, and I did some research.

Turns out this is Freud's mother.

Explains it all, does it not?

Cheers
