't Is the season ..

Yes, however much you may want to deny it, it is the bloody season.

Oh happy times - decorations, food, gifts, snow, food, loved ones, food, and all 'round happiness.

But, for happy times to be enjoyed completely, we must also know sad times, and therefore I will tell you a little anecdote from my Christmas past.

Back when I was little (and yes, I am decidedly unlittle, now), Christmas wasn't always a time of decadent gifts and ludicrous bouts of overeating; when I was a little tike, the festive season was nothing like that. No sumptuous foods and delicious drinks; all I ate was cardboard, soaked in water to make it slightly more digestible. And no X-boxes for li'l Martin, oh no; all I got to play with was a plastic bag filled with mud, or a lump of coal.

And the thing is, we weren't poor, or anything - my folks just really didn't like me.

Like I always say, everyone else spends their Christmas with loved ones, and I spend mine with my family.

And on that note, a very merry Christmas to you all.

Cheers

Merry Christmas Martin. But to be fair to your family, you really are hard to like. :p
