I don't completely dislike Blogger.

We've all had our petty complaints about Blogger, but we all wouldn't be here if they weren't doing something right, right? So, after suddenly noticing that Blogger has implemented an excellent new commenting-system, I just wanted to say this.

Thanks, Blogger, for making this addiction as cool and easy as it is. If you promise to keep up the good work, so will we.

Cheers

Edit: Fuck it, Blogger sucks ass. Apparently one of the features of the new commenting system is that you can open the comments in a pop-up window. I'd like that. But, of course, it doesn't work.

Bloody figures, doesn't it?

Edit II: Ok, so Blogger sucks slightly less right now. Apparently the pop-up window appears when making a comment, but not when simply viewing the comments. The latter should be an option as well, of course, so Blogger isn't out of the woods yet. I'll change the title to match my current mood.

What's wrong with the word 'plagiarise'? I kinda like it.

I'm not really sure what to make of it. I like the pop-up window when you press 'post a comment', because then you get to see everyone's avatar and all, but when you're just looking at the existing comments (and not making one yourself) you have no need to open this pop-up window, so you don't get to see the avatars. It's just another comments-page.

Hey! You could have the new avatar look on your comment viewing page too. All you'll need to make is a minor tweak to the existing template.

Just replace the following line in your template:

<a cl?ss="comment-link" href="<$BlogItemPermaLinkURL$>#comments">
<$BlogItemCommentCount$>comments </a>

with this line:

<a cl?ss="comment-link" href="<$BlogItemCommentCreate$>"
<$BlogItemCommentFormOnClick$>><$BlogItemCommentCount$>comments </a>

(Just remember to change the spelling of *cl?ss* to *class*)
