Pulling a one four seven.

If you don't know what that title means, you're obviously not a Snooker fan. Not a problem. Except that you're missing out on the greatest sport that ever was. Buffoon.

Anyway, the past 17 days I've been watching the World Championship Snooker in Sheffield, and I never cease to be amazed at the level of skill these men have. These Snooker players have to be able to concentrate (in an arena filled 6.000 people), the have to be dead accurate (small pockets, big table), they have to be adaptable (no two frames of Snooker are ever alike). The list goes on and on.

But what a Snooker player has to be, above everything else, is stoic. Take Graeme Dott, for example, the wee Scotsman who is, right now, on the very brink of winning the world title over England's Peter Ebdon. He is making killer shot after killer shot, not giving Peter Ebdon a single chance to get into the match. And it's a skill an sich how Graeme, after any given amazing shot, is able to supress the 'Booyah! In your face, bitch-ass motherfucker!'-face and put on his 'Meh. No biggie'-face.

Now that's skill.

Cheers
