The good, the bad and the ugly.
Leonardo DiCaprio's production company, Appian Way, is quite possibly turning one of my favourite books into a film. I'm talking about Kurt Vonnegut's apocalyptic novel Cat's Cradle, which, I feel, lends itself perfectly for a film adaptation (as do most of Vonnegut's wonderful novels). Now, I've always been a fan of DiCaprio (stop bitching, the guy's a good actor, period), so I have quite a bit of faith in this. I can't wait to see how Vonnegut's biting satire translates onto the silver screen. Bring it on, Leo.
Kevin Spacey, the man who hasn't been in a decent film since American Beauty, which was six years ago, has reportedly asked Bryan Singer to write and direct a sequel to the sublime The Usual Suspects, which bagged Spacey his first of two Oscars. Now, I know that this could be the best news out of Hollywood since Cher died (what? She's not dead!?), but I fear that this will a) suck ass, and b) bring down the quality of the excellent original, which would be a damn shame. This smacks of Spacey needing another
Road House 2 - enough fucking said.

I had a time when I was a bit sceptical about wonderboy DiCaprio but I quite like him The Aviator so my faith in him is a bit better.
Kevin Spacey, I can't say that I agree with you about him not being in any good movies since American Beauty. The United States of Leland, The Life of David Gale and K-PAX where IMHO good movie and I especially liked him in K-Pax. American Beauty was the best though.
I once liked Road House, then I grew up saw it for the shit it was and is. Road House 2 can only be a disaster. I find the news of a Hollow Man sequal even more scary though. The first was the worst kind of crap and way worse than Road House.
DiCaprio's good in just about everything he does, excluding the extremely commercial stuff (Titanic, Man in the Iron Mask, etc.) - This Boy's Life and Gilbert Grape are excellent.
I stand by my opinion about Spacey - David Gale was entertaining, but nothing near good. Nothing near Suspects, Se7en or American Beauty.
Nothing is worse than Road House. Nothing. Not even torture.

The Hollow Man was the first Paul Verhoeven movie I derived no enjoyment from, and I've seen all his movies - even his Dutch ones.
Yes, I even had some fun with Showgirls.
Cat's Cradle was one of the books that my boyfriend recommended that I didn't hate. It'd be interesting to see it as a movie.
A Hollow Man sequel?! Road House 2?! How desperate are people these days?!!?!?!?
Don't answer that....
Damn, and I had a huge-ass answer ready.

All right, fine. Go ahead and answer.
Very fucking desperate.
(I lied, the answer wasn't huge at all - so sue me.)

You know what happened when you lie to innocent young boys like me, right?
Your dick will fall off and you'll get herpes.
Too late on both accounts, my friend.
Cheers
You and everybody else - no wait, hang on .. just you.

Patrick Swayze is icky.
He was icky in the eighties - just imagine what he is, now?!
