Bet you didn't know.
That the 'at' (otherwise known as the @) is, in my language, known as (and I've taken the liberty of translating it, here) the Monkey's tail.
Yup. The tail. Of a monkey. Because, well, they (who exactly is beyond me) thought that the @ looks like .. erm, a monkey's tail.
Thanks heavens for the Americanisation of werstern culture, which has resulted in this abominable term being almost wholly replaced by the much cooler 'at'.
Think about it:
Noodle monkey's tail mail dot com.
Muchos betteros.
Cheers

I didn't know that! Although that's not very surprising since it's a fact that the things I don't know add up to a pretty hill 'O beans.
Regards
Luna.
A hill O beans is, by definition, never pretty. Always remember that.
Cheers
Eating a hill o beans never produces anything pretty, remember that!
So what is "the Monkey's tail" not translated in your language?
