Stuck.
I'm Martin and I'm addicted to my computer.
It's unbelievable, the amounts of time I spend behind this wretched machine, especially now, while there is nothing around that must be done - things like work and college. Hours and hours, I tell you. Not that I mind all that much; I do it because I like it - I like being online talking with friends through the different Fora I signed up with over the years; I like kicking strangers' asses on the online pooltable; and I like listening to, and, erm .. acquiring music (phew - good save, eh?).
The thing is, when I like something, I stop doing everything else, altogether. I actually grew something resembling a beard, and that takes quite some time, believe you me! I haven't seen the sky, really seen it, for at least two or three days, and I haven't had a decent, face-to-face conversation for far, far too long. Thanks heavens for a friend of mine - he called me up yesterday asking me if I had something to do. As a result I'm actually going to step outside my door in a few hours from now. Yay! Keep your fingers crossed for me - I might choke to death on the air.
This obsession with my computer is driving my girlfriend absolutely insane; which is understandable, considering that I hardly take the time anymore to talk to her. Therefore, I'm cutting back! Not cold turkey, mind you (that would kill me), but I'm gonna spend less time watching this bloody (but incredibly gorgeous, 17" flatscreen) monitor; I'm gonna cut back on incessently tapping this horrid (but ergonomically perfect and unbelievably silent) keyboard!
No more!
Do you hear me!?
This is me, signing off.
I'll be back, though - periodically.
Cheers

We're a sad bunch, we are. I have the same thing with reading - I can start reading, and just completely forget about the important things that have to be done, which will result in me feeling like an idiot when a few hours later someone asks me if I fed the fish.
The poolgame. It's on the PC (my PS2 isn't connected yet, and never will be, I think) and it's called CoolPool. (Check KaZaA if you want it - ssssshhh). The title sounds ridiculous, but it's quite nice, actually. Good graphics, and a nice selection of games to choose from. Snooker, however, is not in that selection. Which is a bummer, because I like Snooker best. I'm still looking for a (downloadable - don't tell anyone) game of online Snooker.
Cheers
I tried eDonkey - it sucked massively. I still prefer Kazaa(lite) and since recently I've been using Shareaza, which is working miracles for me!
But, you know, mum's the word!
Anyway, let me know if you ever find it (CoolPool I mean) - I'd love to play a familiar face once.
Cheers
Is the Snooker game for the PS2 online? If so, does it look like anything good - I've played some Snooker games on the PC and they were complete crap, graphic- and interfacewise.
Anyway, try CoolPool, you'll like it.
Cheers
Good point, about the renting. I'll look for it. How's the AI? Do they provide a challenge, or are they easy to beat? What's it called?
And how's CoolPool coming along?
Cheers
