Newness.
Yesterday I added all kinds of newness to my Blog - I reckoned, after neglecting it for so long I should really give it some extra attention. It deserved it. And I liked tinkering with it. Thank god it all worked properly.
First of all, I added some of my favourite links to the sidebar. Only a few, I didn't want to have an endless list. These are the places I spend (read: waste) most of my time, so I thought they deserved a mention. And there they are.
After that I went skimming through some other people's Blogs, via the new Blogger NavBar on the top of every Blog. I soon encountered several Blogs containing some kind of mood-indicator - so, being the utterly unoriginal person that I am, I decided I wanted one of my own. The result can be seen on the right.
This was the moment when I started to get the hang of it - I started understanding (somewhat) the entire HTML-code-template-editing-stuff, so I wanted more, more, more! I changed the headers in the sidebar - Links became My Biggest Time Consumers, etc.
I was rather bored anyway, so I also added a new Sidebar-Area, in which I can list the books I've reviewed in this Blog, and also a space for me to mention the book I'm currently reading. For a second, I even contemplated adding a traffic-counter to the Sidebar, but in the end I opted against it - it would only depress me, I'm afraid.
And that's where I'm at at this point in time. My Sidebar underwent a drastic growth, so I don't think I'll be adding much more newness to it, but who knows?
I'm happy with it.
For now.
Cheers
