I bet Letterman is having a field day.

Being the European that I am, the entire Jay Leno/Conan O'Brien celebrity death match spectacle over at NBC has mainly passed me by; the only information I get is through Twitter, mainly because I could not be bothered to look up additional sources. What I make of it so far is this: NBC wants to bump O'Brien (who recently started hosting the broadcasting institution the Tonight Show, Leno's old gig) to a later timeslot so that Leno, with a new (though surprisingly similar) show can have the better slot. Outrage! Shame! Controversy! Much ado about nothing, I'd say.

However, having been a fan of both Leno and O'Brien in my younger years when both their shows (the Tonight Show and the Late Night Show, respectively) were still being broadcast on a daily basis here in Euroland it's a pity to see that these comedy greats have now become slaves to the timeslot, minions of commercialism.

As for me, I've always slightly favoured Conan O'Brien for his sardonic wit, Irish complexion and that downright freaky haircut. Besides, how could you not love a guy that models his backdrop on the videogame we all grew up with? (See above.) Plus, Conan's official statement which was released to the public today, in which he outlines his position in all of this mess, is a class act. Well played, sir.

As for the decider, I give you this:

Maybe the best image to appear on the internet. Ever. That should settle it.
