I love sleep ..
.. but I need money.
Therefore, I have been awake for some 10 hours now (nothing special there), and will be staying awake for a further 20 (give or take).
The company I work for needed the extra people on the night from sunday to monday, and, in spite of having a couple of classes at 11:00 AM the next morning, I volunteered. I've regretted it ever since.
So my tactic was the following; make it excrutiatingly late saturdaynight and sleep in like you've never done before come sundaymorning/ afternoon, so that I'll get into the rythm - it'll make the long night ahead of me slightly easier. However, I hadn't thought of turning off my mobile phone and, of course, it rang the following morning, waking me way, way ahead of schedule.
The downside is, I won't be able to catch a couple of hours of sleep after coming home from work. If I do, I'll be able to grab about 2 hours before having to get up again to go to University, and that will a) kill me, and/or b) result in me missing my classes (again).
I've done the math, and it'll be around 02:30 PM, tomorrow, that I'll be crawling back into my bed.
It's 8:30 PM now, and I'm already yawning and teary-eyed and tired.
Only 18 hours to go yet.
Cheers

I'll bet your sweet old neighbour will throw one of her famous Tupperware parties tommorow and you won't be able to rest your weary body because of it!
And that will most likely result in A: you killing your lovely neighbour for disturbing your hard-earned 5,6,7?? hours of sleep and B: you getting arrested for it after which you'll be interrogated for days and days after it, and that will prevent you from sleeping for another 72 hours or so!!
I've done some math as well and when this unavoidable scenario will unfold itself you hadn't had a single hour of sleep for approximately 100 hours. Imagine the face you'll have after that many sleepless hours!!
Therefore, in order to avoid this scenario from happening I recommend you pick up your phone right now and dial yor boss' number to call in sick, or something like that. However, the problem about this seemingly flawless plan is the fact that I just looked at the time and noticed you're already at work, so that won't do! Bugger!
Oh well, it's not my problem after all!
Erm .. yeah .. that too!
And by the way, I never told you how late my shift started.
Cheers
pps: I already killed my lovely old tupperware-party throwing neighbour last week - nothing happened.
Cheers
